These final portraits in nature you see here come from many discussions with the client about mood, setting, colors, and the overall feeling of what she wanted conveyed.
Before this session, we spent time talking about the feeling she wanted her photographs to evoke. She described wanting to feel immersed in nature—tranquil, feminine, soft, and ethereal—but she was also very clear that she didn’t want the images to feel overly “goddess-like” or provocative.
From there, we created a mood board that went beyond posing inspiration. We explored colors, textures, light, movement, and the overall atmosphere she wanted to create.
Choosing the location was equally as thoughtful. She knew she wanted to be surrounded by nature, so after asking lots of questions about what she envisioned, it became clear that a waterfall would tell her story best. I shared several curated galleries from different waterfalls around the region, and one instantly stood out to her.
These photographs are the result of listening, planning, collaboration, and creating an experience that feels deeply personal from beginning to end.
If you’ve ever dreamed of creating portraits that feel unmistakably like you, I’d love to help bring that vision to life.
✨ Let’s create something beautiful together.
