Maternity Photography in Costa Rica

As a family photographer, the most calm and peaceful photoshoots have got to be my maternity sessions. Time slows down a bit and the focus is on the mama to be. (Even when there are small children included in the session, there is still something a bit dreamy about a maternity shoot.) Maternity photography in Costa Rica is nothing short of magical.

Perhaps it’s because the soon-to-be-mama moves a bit slower, or because everyone involved in the session is a bit more protective, there is a peaceful energy around this type of photo session. And Costa Rica is certainly the perfect place for maternity photography.

What does Costa Rica have that makes a maternity photo shoot special?

Just about everything! But to name just a few, I’d have to say

• Cascading waterfalls
• Winding rivers
• Lucious jungles
• Breathtaking mountains
• Caves!
