Family Photography in Dominical

If you’re looking for family photography in Dominical, this is one of my favorite spots to photograph in Costa Rica. Granted I haven’t traveled to every beach, not even close, but this beach has so much to offer. The rocky coastline adds extra dimension to those ocean background photos. Instead of just smooth ocean, you have this rough, rugged, fierce backdrop where Mother Nature shows you her power. The jungle background has quite the variety as well. Giant pothos the size of my arm wrap around trees and hang down in lush vines which are strong enough to swing on. And if those aren’t enough reasons, this beach offers a more quaint and intimate feel as opposed to some other more crowded beaches.

So, let’s recap why family photography in Dominical is a no-brainer:

• Rugged coastline
• Lush jungle
• Intimate feel
• And a reason not mentioned above, it’s easily accessible. No parking far away or hiking in.

Although I prefer to shoot at lowtide, this beach is pretty spectacular at any tide level. The higher the tide, the closer it brings you to the jungle. There’s really no downside.

For this photoshoot, the mama brought bubbles for the kids and that was simply brilliant.
