This wedding had an outdoor ceremony and made it easy to transition to the reception. The venue was quaint, perfect for a small to medium size wedding. Although it did not have a sprawling property, it made up for it with a manicured garden and stone fountain.
For some, a church ceremony is a must. And there are some breathtaking churches to be married in! But there is something about a sunset wedding with an outdoor ceremony that just excites the photographer in me. Having that dewy, natural light adds so much to an image. Luckily for me, this ceremony was closer to sunset and so I did not have to worry about that harsh midday light. Because that my friends, is an entirely different post! (Afternoon sun with no shade is not an ideal lighting situation!!)
Like most wedding venues, the reception hall was on the darker side. However, the grand entrance was extremely bright, with large white tile flooring and huge portrait windows. Photographing the first look for the bride and her father were done in this area, as well as the bridal portraits.
It was a beautiful day. Since the venue was a bit on the dark side, we were lucky they chose to have the wedding with an outdoor ceremony. It was on the smaller side, each having two bridesmaids and two groomsmen. The gray and blush pink colors photographed beautifully.
This wedding was such an emotional one! There were so many tears of joy; anyone there could feel the love being shared.
